Forbidden City

The Forbidden City (Gu Gong), or The Palace Museum, was originally built as the residence of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty, and rebuit or extended several times since then. Gugong boast 9999 buildings that cover some 74 hectares. The largest palace complex of The Forbidden City is protected by a surrounding moat.
